In 2004 Al and Becky Williams of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara, California, took six months off and still closed 55 transactions for total sales of $7 million. They built their business at the outset by holding open houses and taking floor time. Within six months of starting their business they were closing 14 transactions per month. The couple still attributes 18-20% of their total business to open houses.
After retiring in 2001, the Williams decided to enter the industry again in 2005 in order to pass their successful business on to their son, Aj, who now services the counties of North Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo. |
