The American Real Estate Academy was established in 1972 by Theodore J. Vlachos and has helped thousands of students pass the state exam to become licensed salespersons and brokers. For over 33 years our school has worked hard to raise the level of quality in real estate education. The American Real Estate Academy is the oldest continuously owned and operated school in the state and one of the oldest in the entire country. In 1992 they added appraisal education to our course schedule by becoming the first proprietary school in Massachusetts to be licensed by the Commonwealth.
