The Portugal Association of Real Estate Professionals (APEMIP) was founded in 1978 and is the leading real estate association in Portugal, representing approximately 3,400 real estate companies, which account for 95% of all licensed real estate professionals in Portugal. These professionals are all involved in brokerage and handle a majority of all residential real estate transactions nationwide, around 65% of the companies members also handle commercial transactions.
