The Long & Foster Companies
Shipplett was appointed president and COO of The Long & Foster Companies in 2004. Prior to assuming her current role, she served as EVP and general manager of Long & Foster’s Virginia/West Virginia/North Carolina Region. Shipplett began her career in real estate in 1977 and was a successful sales associate and manager. She currently serves as a director for the Virginia Association of Realtors®, The Northern Virginia Association of Realtors®, and MRIS and The Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. In 2005 she was featured by Virginia Business Magazine as one of “The Most Powerful and Influential Businesswomen in Virginia” and in 2004, she was named one of The Washington Post’s “Ten Women Who Mean Business.” She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Longwood College in Farmville, Va. and a MA from Dartmouth College. |
