Yes, CAD files should be available upon request. Most of the time, these files come with a license to modify the plans, making changes easier for your builder or local engineer to complete.1
A CAD file is necessary if you plan to make design changes to the plan you have chosen. You should also be able to obtain a reproducible set, which consists of line drawings produced on erasable, reproducible paper for the purpose of modification.
You can also order mirror-reversed plans, if you want to build the home in reverse of the illustrated floor plan. Check with your supplier about these options. |
