Broker applicants:  Colorado state law recognizes three levels of real estate agent licenses, Associate Broker license, Independent Broker license and Employing Broker license.  The requirements for each are different and full details are available on the website.

Reciprocal license recognition & Non-residents: The CREC accepts real estate agent licenses of 26 other states. Those holding real estate licenses in those states qualify for a Colorado real estate license without further Colorado real estate education or examination requirements. Colorado also accepts applicants from nine other states for limited examination and/or pre-licensing education.
