Condotels are a hybrid between a hotel and a condominium. Condotels can be rented out for short-term use, like a hotel room. They typically cost more than a condo unit to purchase. Condotel owners usually share in the rental income of the unit, though rental profits for the owner are not guaranteed. There are also other expenses associated with condotels such as insurance, maintenance and mortgage costs.
