Congress considers changes to mortgage aid program

With fewer than 500 applications, lawmakers moved Wednesday to revamp a failing federal housing program. Meanwhile, the Obama administration wants to spend up to $100 billion to help borrowers stay in their homes; and the Senate voted to give up to a $15,000 tax break to homebuyers, a move backed by NAR and NABH.
