Do I Need To Buy A New Title Insurance Policy If I Refinance?

Although you will not need to buy a new owner’s title insurance policy, the lender will want to make sure there are no new liens on the property and will require a new lender’s insurance policy, even if you refinance with the same lender.  If there is a new lien on the property, you will need to pay it off before the loan is approved for refinance.
