Buyer Agency is a LEGAL DEFINITION that defines the LEGAL relationship that a buyer has with their agent.
An EXCLUSIVE Buyer Agency is an agency that ONLY repersents BUYERS!
A real estae agent who is with a broker/brokerage that takes listins can NOT be an EXCLUSIVE buyers' agent!
They may be a 'buyer's agent' -- but their office is NOT exclusive!
If an AGENT hangs their license with a broker/brokerage that takes listings . . . it is legally impossible to be an EXCLUSIVE Buyers Agent!
Know this!!
And when you meet an agent, who works for a traditional / full service broker/brokerage and they tell you, "Yes, I am an EXCLUSIVE buyer's agent" -- you have just talked to an agent that doesn't know jack!
