From Rags to Riches, New Book Says 'Advance to Go-Collect $1 Million'
Category - Real Estate Information Sources - Real Estate Articles
Twenty-seven-year old Kirsty Dunphey went from being totally broke to owning 3 million dollars of real estate in Australia in just four short years. Her rags to riches story is the stuff that great visions are made of. To salute Dunphey's achievement, the RealtyU Bookstore announces the arrival of her first book: Advance To Go - Collect $1 Million.

Dunphey's is an inspirational story of possibilities as there were many times she could have easily given up. Her family was bankrupt, she hated her college courses, she was terribly homesick and she had no idea how she wanted to carve out a future for herself and earn money. Having opened her first real estate agency as an owner/broker at 21, Kirsty quickly grew that business from a three-person office with no phones, no Internet site and no commercial permits to a team of over 50 working from six offices. Today she is director of M&M Harcourts. Dunphey is also the national winner of Telstra's 2002 Young Business Woman of the Year and winner of Tasmanian Young Australian of the Year 2004.

Because she was not born with a silver spoon in her mouth, people describe her as an "Aussie Battler" and a "Sassy Entrepreneur." Her path to success is a story that was researched, planned and worked into becoming a self-made millionaire by age 23. Today she is more than happy to share how being young, female and broke is not a barrier and with the right attitude anyone can reach their goals.

"Kirsty's success is no accident," says Emily Ross, co-author of 100 Great Businesses and the Minds Behind Them. "Her journey to become one of Australia's youngest and brightest new business talents is testimony to the theory that the harder you work, the luckier you get."

According to John McGrath, CEO of the largest real estate brokerage in Sydney, Australia, "Success leaves clues. Kirsty really does prove that if you're good enough, you're old enough. For an insight into one of Australia's top young real estate and business minds, I highly recommend you read Advance to Go - Collect $1 million."
