General Mortgage Corporation is one of the largest independent mortgage brokers in San Diego. Established in 1983 and serving San Diego and California.

For a time period from 1999 - 2005 General Mortgage Coporation was part of the Assocoiates Group, Inc based in San Diego. The Associates Group owned multiple Coldwell Banker Real Estate franchises as well as an escrow company, Summit Escrow.

In 2005 the owners sold the Associates Group to NRT (Coldwell Banker) and General Mortgage Company was spun off to private ownership.
