While Helen serves as President of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, she is also Vice President of Hanna Holdings. With over 3,000 sales associates and employees, the company has 105 sales offices, mortgage and title companies as well as some building and development divisions. Their sales volume was in excess of 4.7 billion.

Her designations include GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) and CRB (Certified Residential Broker), and she is currently active in the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh (R.A.M.P). Offices and associates under her jurisdiction span Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New York. Ms. Casey has spoken to real estate professionals throughout the United States and in England on such topics as sales, marketing and the role of professional women as volunteers and philanthropists.

She was the first woman to be elected President of the Board of Directors of the West Penn Multi List and only woman to serve on its board. Her experience and commitment to continuing education have resulted in invitations to address many distinguished real estate, community, and women’s organizations. She has appeared on the nationally syndicated real estate television network and her accomplishments have been highlighted as feature stories gracing the cover of national real estate publications including National Relocation and Real Estate Magazine who recognized her as a Top Company President.

A generous philanthropist, Ms. Casey has also been awarded such distinctions as the “Outstanding Achievement in Your Profession & for the Betterment of Society Award”, from Who’s Who Worldwide and the “Outstanding Service Volunteer Award” from the Abraxas Foundation. A Carlow College “Woman of Spirit,” she was also honored as an “Athena Award” finalist. As the Civic Light Opera Vice Chair for Productions, her efforts aided in bringing theatre luminaries to Pittsburgh via the Richard Rodgers Program including Julie Andrews, Mary Martin, and the distinguished Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum (IWF), the Irish Institute Board and is a past member of the Pittsburgh Garden Center. She is active in the Pittsburgh Vision Service and is a former board member of the Pittsburgh Guild for the Blind and Winchester-Thurston School. She is part of the Howard Hanna executive management team that spearheads yearly fundraising efforts for Children’s Hospital resulting in contributions totaling over $1,000,000.

Current accomplishments include receipt of the “1997 Entrepreneur of the Year Award.” She is a member of the executive management team recognized by University of Pittsburgh’s Joseph M. Katz graduate School of Business as “1997 Family Business of the Year”. Since its inception, Working Woman magazine named Ms. Casey and Howard Hanna Real Estate Services among the “Top 500 Women-Owned Businesses” in the United States, for which she was honored at the White House.
