Homestore (at the time known as RealSelect) began working with the National Association of Realtors to create Realtor.com during the mid-1990's. In August, Homestore went public with an initial public offering (IPO) that generated $140 million. In February 2006 Homestore changed its name to Move, Inc.

Homestore, Inc. (NASDAQ: HOMS) operates the #1 network of real estate sites, including REALTOR.com, the official website of the National Association of REALTORS® and HomeBuilder.com, the official new homes site of the National Association of Home Builders, FactoryBuiltHousing.com, SeniorHousingNet and RENTNET. According to ComScore these sites collectively attract the largest online audience of online home consumers.

Homestore also produces Plans and Publications and Welcome Wagon as well as manages the real estate software Top Producer Systems.
