I've been a broker in Little Rock, Arkansas for over 33 years and have worked in most all phases of the real estate business through those years.
My very first transaction involved a deaf couple that I sold a home to that didn't feel I properly communicated all aspects of the purchase. I accepted the responsibility and forfeited my entire commission to them at closing. It was disheartening, but I have never regreted it and believe it was a lasting reminder to strive to provide the best of service "by definition of the client"
I don't feel that I work near as hard as my competition because more than 90% of my business comes from referrals. That referral base was made possible by having the upmost honestly and integrity in all my transactions. A fellow Realtor put it best by saying "I can't find the 'off switch' of integrity" |
