How Do I Obtain A Home Warranty Plan?
Category - Home Buying FAQ's - General Home Buying

Frequently the seller will offer a Home Warranty Plan included in the sale of the home or be open to negotiate this point.  A Home Warranty Plan provides insurance that covers the repairs or replacement of most home systems.  Typically, the home warranty provider may offer different price plans ranging from limited to extended protection and cover such items as plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, appliances, etc.

If the seller is not willing to purchase the Home Warranty Plan on behalf of the buyer, you should be able to ask your agent to assist you with identifying a reputable service provider.  At times, the agent may be willing to assist or cover the cost of this plan.
