How Does Public Relations Work Differ from Advertising?
Category - Professional Development - Become a Real Estate Agent
Advertising usually costs money while public relations opportunities are free of charge. Under public relations, you can add volunteer work, which brings you in touch with a large number of people and presents an opportunity to network (be sure that your first motivation is to truly provide help where needed.) You may also inquire about opportunities with the local Chamber of Commerce or offer to write a free article for a real estate or local related publication.

If you are a good writer, consider submitting a press release to your local newspaper. Do include publicity photos with your press release and make sure they stand out by being fun and exciting. Make your business stand out from the pack. It is very important that you check with your broker, to make sure your information does not break any advertising rules within the agency.
