How do I Create a Budget for my Marketing Campaign?
Category - Real Estate General - Becoming an Agent
Upfront, it will be difficult to estimate the amount of money you will be able to dedicate to your advertising campaign. Your business plan will be helpful in identifying your projected gross sales. Typically, a good rule of thumb would be to devote two to five percent of anticipated gross sales to advertising.

Another approach as you start your business would be to earmark a small percent of each commission check to support your advertising campaign. Whether it is to create your website, to creating flyers, research promotional campaigns, software or create a “farming” plan (targeting certain subdivisions around your neighborhood), etc.
