In addition to “Dressing for Success,” your work environment (in a Realtor®’s case this includes his or her vehicle) must be professional and inviting. Whether you work in your car, a cubicle or an office, be sure the environment looks clean, organized and inviting.
This will go far in making a lasting impression on your client. When making a listing presentation, you want to bring a well-organized folder to the table with a copy for your client, which includes relevant information from a synopsis of your broker’s history and advertising materials to comparable information to support the sales price. When taking Buyers out, your car should be clean and organized, you should provide refreshments or snacks, create a folder containing all information about the properties to be viewed and local information on schools, entertainment, shopping, etc. Be sure your business card is attached to any information you share with the client.
