I have an agent that I'm not happy with. Can I fire him/her?
Category - Home Selling FAQ's - Agent, Offer & Commissions
Unless other arrangements are made you are obligated to the terms of your contract. However, when you list your home you can add in a clause that gives you the option of backing out of the listing if you're not satisfied. There may be a small charge in doing so. Also, if you have no such clause you can simply ask to be released from the contract. Depending on the reason you may or may not be able to get rid of your agent.
