If a seller decides to terminate the listing agreement with a certain
broker, the seller must inform the broker’s agent in writing. The
broker is then required to remove the yard sign, return any keys and
remove the lockbox. In addition, the new listing broker should draft a
MLS
pre-printed transfer document, indicating the seller’s wish to transfer
the listing to the new broker. The MLS
will only make the necessary changes, after receiving the transfer
document signed by the homeowner.
