John P. Callanan is a State Certified General Appraiser with over 25 years of experience in the appraisal industry.  He has been certified to complete residential and commercial appraisals in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.  Currently, John is also certified to complete residential appraisals in Florida and is awaiting approval for his commercial license in the state of Florida.  John is also approved to complete FHA appraisals as well as appraisals requested by the office of Verteran's Affairs. John has completed appraisal reports on various types of residential properties as well as mixed use properties, gas stations, apartment complexes, retail, industrial properties and castles.  John has review tens of thousands of appraisals for various lending institutions as Regional Real Estate Appraisal Service’s reviewer and chief appraiser. 

Along with extensive field experience, John P. Callanan has a firm educational background.  John is a recent graduate of New York University’s prestigious Real Estate Program with a Master’s Degree in Real Estate and a concentration in Valuation.  John has also studied abroad at the University of Amsterdam Real Estate Division. 

John is certified by the state of New York to teach all residential appraisal courses.  John is currently a General Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute, where he is working towards his goal of MAI/SRA designation.  John is also a member of the New York State Association of Realtors Inc., National Association of Realtors, Better Business Bureau, NYS Society of Appraisers, and the Foundation of Real estate Appraisers.  John P. Callanan is also a New York State Notery.
