Real Estate Salesperson: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. For admittance to the Kansas exam, candidates must complete a 30 salesperson Principles of Real Estate pre-course and for brokers an additional 24 hours pre-license course.

Continued education:  License renewal requires a 12 hour Continued Education course.

Residency:  Broker applicants: Broker applicants need to show proof of 2 years active experience during the prior 5 years which will be evaluated on an individual basis. Candidates may also apply for an exam reservation based on equivalent requirements met in another state.

Reciprocal license recognition & Non-residents:  Kansas has salesperson and broker reciprocity agreements with 11 other states.   Non-residents may also sit the exam for an additional fee
