Real Estate Salesperson: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, are required to successfully complete 40 hours of approved pre-license courses before taking the examination, must successfully pass the real estate exams and be of good moral character.
Continued education: The salesperson needs to complete 6 hours of continuing education each year. During the three year license renewal period this will equal 18 hours of continuing education.
Broker applicants: Must be at least 18 years of age and have at least three years full time experience as a real estate salesperson and must be of good moral character, need to complete at least 90 hours of approved real estate education courses within 36 months of applying for their license.
Reciprocal license recognition & Non-residents: There is no reciprocity between Michigan and any other states and all applicants must meet the full Michigan requirements. |
