Real Estate Salesperson: Applicants must be 18 years or older and be a resident in Mississippi when the application is submitted. 0ther requirement are 60 hours of classroom attendance from a community college/college or approved pre-license education provider and has to pass the exam.
Continued education: Licensees must have not less than 16 hours of approved continued education course work before renewal of the license.
Broker applicants: Requirements are that you must be 21 years or older and a resident in Mississippi, 120 classroom hours of real estate courses from a community college/college or approved pre-license education provider and an active sales license for 12 months immediately preceding application. 150 hours of real estate courses from a community college/college or approved pre-license education provider are required without one year experience immediately prior to application.
Reciprocal license recognition & Non-residents: Mississippi has reciprocal agreements with some states and applicants need to contact the Mississippi Real Estate Commission. Nonresidents may apply for a non-resident license and has to follow the MREC requirements. |
