My house is going through foreclosure. Can I still sell?
Category - Home Ownership FAQ's - Foreclosure, REO & Short Sale
Yes, provided that there is still time to complete the transaction. If the owner is too far into the foreclosure proceeding there may not be enough time to close on the home. If this is the case, contact an attorney immediately and they may be able to buy the necessary time to complete the sale. The mortgage company will do everything to avoid foreclosure, as they don't want to become property owners.
