Category - Home Buying FAQ's - Moving for the Buyer
If your offer on the new home was contingent upon the close of your current one, chances are you are not under obligation to purchase the new one. That's why the offer was made contingent in the first place. If your offer was non-contingent then you are obligated to purchase the new one regardless of what happens with your current sale.
