Although it makes sense to negotiate the best purchase price for your home, you must be careful not to submit an offensive offer, which the seller could ignore.  While you have wasted your time submitting an unrealistic offer, another buyer might beat you to it and snatch the property out from under you.  Remember, the seller has no obligation to respond to your offer.
