Not necessarily, although your kids would think so. Having a pool could actually have less value to certain buyers. If the buyers are elderly or have small children, having a pool is a liability causing the prospective buyer to offer less money. However, most consider it an improvement to the property and would expect to make adjustments in the price accordingly.
