The Finnish Real Estate Agent's Association (SKVL) was founded in 1946, and has 13 local independent associations covering the whole country. Currently SKVL has approximately 410 member agencies, which represent about 1,000 real estate agents; about 60% of the total number of real estate agents in Finland. The members of SKVL represent over 40% of the housing sales made by real estate agents. SKVL's primary objective is to promote the business of its members and to attend to the professional and social interests of its members. The organization also aims to increase professional skills and reputation of our real estate practitioners and further the local cooperation among the members.

The Finnish Real Estate Agent's Association is a member of the International Consortium of Real Estate Associations (ICREA).
