| A network of real estate firms in North America that have in common a large-brokerage business model, "traditional" approach and maintain a full-service concept. The group shares ideas in a confidential and vendor-free environment, applies benchmarking techniques, develops programs jointly that benefit the whole, influences industry policies and organizations and negotiates group-buying agreements with providers. Membership is by invitation only. The group was founded in approximately 1996 as the merger of two former think tanks, the "Dozen" and "Masterminds." Member firms purchase stock in the corporation, which is managed by an elected board of directors and a president/CEO. The member firms of The Realty Alliance represent more than 100,000 real estate practitioners and thousands of employees in the United States and Canada. |
