An act known as the federal Fair Housing Act which prohibits discrimination in housing based on a party's race, color, religion or national origin.

This law makes it illegal to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or familiar status in the sale or lease of vacant land for the construction of residential buildings. Addtionally the law prohibits discrimination in advertising.
