Real Estate Salesperson: Must be at least 18 years of age, provide fingerprints for a criminal background check, must provide proof of their honesty, integrity, truthfulness, reputation and competency and provide fingerprints. Applicants must successfully complete 90 classroom hours of approved real estate courses and must apply for their license within 90 days.
Continued education: All licensees must complete at least 12 hours of certified real estate courses, including 6 hours of core topic courses.
Broker applicants: Must be at least 18 years of age, have at least three years of real estate experience, have a total of at least 60 points, accumulated within the five years prior to licensing, and need to successfully complete at least 120 hours of approved classroom courses. Both exams need to be passed within a six-month period of time and has to apply for the broker license within 90 days.
Reciprocal license recognition & Non-residents: Utah has reciprocity agreements with Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Alberta, Canada. The applicant must have an active status in their home state and provide fingerprints. |
