What Does Innocent Purchaser For Value Mean?

One who purchases real property without receiving notice, actual or constructive, of any superior rights or interests in the property, is called an innocent purchaser for value or a bona fide purchaser for value.  The state recording statues are designed to protect an innocent purchaser for value from the secret claims of a prior purchaser.
