What Is Involved In Land Development?
Category - Professional Development - Become a Real Estate Agent

Developers build most new homes in the United States.  Some homes are built by small-scale developers who sell the lots to individual builders, and some by large development corporations.

Most large developers have their own planning, appraising, financing, construction and marketing personnel. Brokerage firms and agents typically establish a contractual relationship with a builder or developer to market and sell their homes.  Typically, the commission split is different from the regular residential brokerage approach but the hours the agent works may be closer to regular hours or shift work.  On-site works guarantees a certain business volume.
