What Is The Difference Between The List And The Sales Price?
Category - Home Buying Questions - Search & Offer FAQ's

The list price or asking price is the price the seller places the home on the market for. The sales price or purchase price is the negotiated price both buyer and seller agree is acceptable to complete the transaction and close the deal. The sales price is the actual price the buyer pays and obtains a mortgage loan on, once the contract negotiations have been completed.
