If the tenant is called to active duty during the term of the lease, the tenant has the right to present the official orders to the landlord, at which time the lease goes on to be controlled by the Service members’ Civil Relief Act of 2003.
This clause is designed to protect personnel receiving official military orders while holding a lease agreement. |
