What is a move-in inspection?
Category - Home Ownership FAQ's - Lease & Renting
The move-in inspection allows the tenant and property owner to identify necessary repairs or damages pre-dating the term of the lease agreement.

Typically, the property owner presents the tenant the Move-In, Move-Out Form. Prior to taking possession, the tenant has the right to review the form and ascertain its accuracy. If both parties agree, property owner and tenant sign the form and it becomes a part of the lease agreement.

Should repairs be necessary, the prospective tenant has the right to expect these to be completed prior to possession.
