What is the Notice of Propensity of Flooding
Category - Home Ownership FAQ's - Lease & Renting
Flooding is defined as the inundation of a portion of the living space you are renting, or the entire premises, caused by rising water levels in a nearby water source, such as a creek, river, lake, drainage area or where ponding of water occurs at or near the property during heavy rain.

The landlord is legally responsible to advise the prospective tenant of the danger of or actual flooding of the premises within the past five years. You may want to rethink renting a property located in a potential flood zone.
