Where Should I Prospect?
Category - Professional Development - Become a Real Estate Agent

Everywhere is a good place to prospect. Anywhere you go, you will likely meet people. Those people could become your clients.

When you go to the dentist, drop your card with the receptionist. Do the same at the doctor’s office, hairdresser, vet clinic, grocery stores, mall, and car dealership. You name it. The world is open to you and you never know whom you will hear from or who may pass on your card to a friend or relative. Also, make sure you collect as many business cards as possible wherever you go. They provide excellent information for your database.

You can set yourself a daily goal of distributing and collecting 10 or more cards or prospect information. Once you set your goal, go out there and do it!

If you feel so inclined, you might attach a small gift, such as a bag of candy to your cards. Your prospects will appreciate that, while you say “thank you” to someone who is providing good service to you.

Volunteering and attending as many functions as possible is another excellent way to prospect. Consider any place where crowds gather an excellent prospecting ground.
