Who is Involved in Building a Home?
Category - Home Ownership Questions - Building Your Home FAQ's
Typically, there are many parties involved in building a home. You will need a bank to approve the funds, the builder, an architect (if applicable) and subcontractors for plumbing, electrical work, heat and air, painting, framing, etc. Your builder typically assigns a construction manager or supervisor to handle the day-to-day responsibilities involved in the project and hires all the subcontractors. The supervisor will spend most of his time on sight.
