Why Is It Important that I Volunteer to Work Open Houses for Successful Agents?
Category - Professional Development - Become a Real Estate Agent

Open houses, although not always as successful as expected to sell the home they are held in, are excellent opportunities for new agents to get leads. Most successful agents appreciate having new agents cover their Open Houses and are willing to allow the new agent to keep any leads for a referral fee. Agents volunteering to conduct an Open House should agree to the terms in writing prior to providing this service.

In addition to being an excellent source of leads, conducting an Open House also helps a new agent learn more about this sales approach. Creating excellent relations with fellow agents is also an excellent way to develop your network. There might be opportunities for team membership or even developing an excellent database to utilize when you need to distribute information about your own listings.
