Real Estate Salesperson:   Must have reached the age of majority, must provide proof of honesty, trustworthiness, integrity and have the competence to transact business as a licensed agent.  Applicants must be sponsored by a Wyoming licensed real estate broker who will supervise and train the salesperson. The applicant needs to complete at least 30 class hours of approved real estate education courses and pass the salesperson real estate examinations.

Continued education. All licensees need to successfully complete 45 hours of continuing education courses during every three-year renewal period. Twenty-four of these hours are courses that need to be repeated during every three year period.

Broker applicants:   Must have at least two years of active experience as a real estate salesperson, must not have had a real estate license refused or revoked in any state, or been convicted of any felony. Broker applicants need to have successfully completed at least 60 hours of approved pre-licensure education courses and need to successfully pass the broker real estate exam.

Reciprocal license recognition & Nonresidents:  Wyoming has either full or partial reciprocity agreements with nineteen states. In most cases, applicants from other states need to fulfill the regular licensing education and examination requirements. All non-resident applicants pay the same fees as resident real estate agents.
